Summary: In Bauchi, Nigeria, a teenage girl was accused of being a suicide bomber and was beaten to death by a crowd. After, they set her body on fire that Sunday. There was another teenage girl who was arrested at Muda Lawal because she was a second suspect. The two girls refused to be searched when they arrived at the gate to a vegetable market. People at the market then empowered one girl and found that she had two bottles strapped to her body. They then clubbed her to death and lit her on fire. Police Deputy Superintendent Mohammad Haruna later said that it seemed doubtful that she actually was a bomber because she didn't detonate any explosives when attacked.
Analysis: I think that it's very strange that she had two bottles strapped to her body and I would like to know what they were for if she wasn't actually a bomber. It's disturbing that she was very quickly attacked and beaten to death by the crowd around her. The Police Deputy, Mohammad Haruna, said that "[she] was the victim of 'mob action carried out by an irate crowd'". I think that they should've instead taken her into interrogation rather than automatically acting out on it in an aggressive fashion.

I think that girls have been used more recently as suicide bombers because they are valued less than men in third world countries. Its a shame that such gender equality exits. Its also a shame that young women have been used to carry these bombs. Although the children may appear more innocent, by using them to carry bombs any innocence they did have is being seized.
